It being Sunday (Queer as Folk night) I was on my way over to wrenlet's. The plan was dinner and Black Slash (*cough* Sash) before the show, so I stopped at Fazoli's....

Sitting at the drive through speaker box, I'd just given my order when the dude comes back on saying "You can have a free slice of cheesecake if you sing a song from The Wizard of Oz."

....I look at the speaker box. "It would be for cheesecake."

"That's right. Any song from the movie."

Of course, put on the spot like that, I couldn't think of the damn words. um.... um... Someday you'll find it, the... crap, that's the Muppets. um....

Finally I was able to croak out a bit from Somewhere Over the Rainbow. And laughed the rest of the way to Wren's.

(Maybe the gods new cheesecake was going to be needed to get through last night's QaF episode.)

Being a sadist for fun and profit

Having inflicted Fruits Basket on ladydouji this afternoon, we hopped in the car to run some errands. After picking up the Boomstick edition of Army of Darkness (a two DVD set with both the theatrical release and the director's cut... and I lurv me some Bruce Campbell) we hit an import store before heading to Planet Anime.

They were offering free samples of Altoids Ginger breath mints at the check out counter, so we both tried one.

I chewed mine, and promptly felt my sinuses burn... she let hers dissolve on her tongue. And I quote:

"It Burns! It Burns! I can't feel my mouth any more!"

I eventually stopped laughing... really, I did.

Almost got a FB pencil board at Planet Anime, but was good and only picked up some pins. (They were sold out of the Kyo *pout* but I was able to get Tohru and Yuki.)

On the way back, I pawed through Deb's pictures from Yaoi-Con last year. (Yes, I stole the yummy one she had of Saitoh. Oh, and Mako? Nice money shot. ^_~)
