This is the Texas Renaissance Festival's opening weekend, (meaning cheaper tickets than the rest of the season.) and I'm really tempted to go.... only, I've never gone alone before, and it might be like going to the theater, ya know? Not fun unless you're with someone. And frankly, I don't want to spend a day's worth of time and money just to find that out. *bites lip* It'd mean getting up early ('cause, ya know, there's not -that- much time between 3pm and sun down.) On the other hand, I'd be able to get my palm read without forcing my friends to wait forever with me till the reader's available. *shrug* Who knows what I'll end up doing.

Oooh, Want!

I have got to see this movie! (description snipped from website)

Bubba Ho-Tep

Based on the Bram Stoker Award nominee short story by acclaimed author
Joe R. Lansdale, Bubba Ho-tep tells the "true" story of what really did become of Elvis. We find the King(Bruce Campbell) as an elderly resident in an East Texas rest home, who switched identities with an Elvis impersonator years before his "death", then missed his chance to switch back. Elvis teams up with Jack (Ossie Davis), a fellow nursing home resident who thinks that he is actually President John F. Kennedy, and the two valiant old codgers sally forth
to battle an evil Egyptian entity who has chosen their long-term care facility
as his happy hunting grounds
