Weekend Report
May. 16th, 2005 01:25 pmHad a good time with the boy Saturday... though our quest for Cafe Japon was thwarted. We'd originally tried to go to the one down the street, but it wasn't open yet, and damn it we were hungry. Hopping on the freeway, we try for the one down in Rice Village. ...only to find out it's been evicted as of a month ago. By then we threw in the towel and had pizza instead. (MMmm, Fuzzy's. Best pizza in town.)
Last night I got a wild hair and decided to see a last minute movie. With no idea what was playing, I walked up to the ticket booth and paid for whatever was starting soonest. Ended up seeing Sahara. Fun movie! Had a Raiders of the Lost Ark feel to it.
Right now I'm debating trying to see Star Wars Ep 3 next weekend or not. Honestly, after Eps 1 and 2, my interest has pretty much died... but I'm a completionist and, honestly, special effects are always better on the big screen, so I probably will just to round out the series.
