1. Picture yourself near a stream.
2. Birds are softly chirping in the cool mountain air.
3. No one but you knows your secret place.

5. The soothing sound of a gentle waterfall fills the air with a cascade of serenity.
6. Bubbles slowly float to the surface creating a gentle gurgling sound.
7. The water is crystal clear.
8. You can easily make out the face of the person you're holding underwater.

Where's the time gone?

Sitting here, waiting for the work to roll in, I got a wild hair to check my LJ archives and see what was going on last year today... It's been one year since I learned of Amanda's murder. I hadn't realized it's been that long... Every now and then I still find myself thinking about her in the present tense, only to jerk myself forward and remember she's gone. The first couple conventions I'd gone to were rough, forcing myself not to scan for her face in the crowd. But time heals, and I honestly believe she's at rest... and I stand by what I wrote last year.

“Appreciate what you have! See the brief joy for what it is! Don’t let it slip away with ‘someday’ or ‘maybe’... don’t let it slip away.”

And now for something completely different

I can't just leave that as my last post for the day, it'd imply a deeper depression that what's really there... so I give you: a lemming!
