I'd honestly thought about going to y-con this year, even did the paperwork to get the days off... Then I got told no-can-do on the request, and scrapped the idea whole.

Got into work tonight and was told "Oh, that time off for next week? No problem!"

*insert sound of head meeting desk, repeatedly*

Rarrr! Like I could afford a last minute plane ticket. *pouts and inserts mantra* Maybe next year.

I'm more than half tempted to try and get out there anyway. If so, what's your schedule? (ie, which day are you getting there, when are you leaving, and how much'd sharing the room cost?)

You could camp out at the hotel GioGio, which would safe you the cost of an actual hotel room... it's pretty easy getting to San Francisco from here on public transit...

Not sure. I'm going to the Ren Faire that Saturday and the day rates are a bit on the high side... however, I'd definitely be up for meeting up. I'm planning on meeting tpod too!

I... have no problems with that, what so ever. Sure, Tom can be fun (when he comes in stoned) and Mike's the only one there who knows what the hell he's doing, but for something like this? Go for it.
