Once more, my computer has been reduced to a really expensive door stop. It's gotta be WinXP that's the problem, I'm getting the "no hard dive detected" msg again, as well as, once Windows is up and I'm at my desktop, it's not recognizing my keyboard or mouse. The keyboard works fine when it's starting up (I can hit F8 and the like just fine.) but once it's finished rebooting, nada.

Hell with it, I'm using the system restore disks and putting WinME back on. Provided trying that doesn't mess the whole t hing up even more, I should be back to the machine I got two years ago.

*bangs head on desk* At least it'll give me a chance to catch up on my reading?m/

Is that Taps I hear? Maybe it's time to chuck it all. Can you take the DVD burner back and just get a new machine?

*sigh* I'm thinking about it. The problems all started with WinXP, though, so I'm hoping reverting back to WinME will do the trick... *crosses fingers*
