Picked up a copy of Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins... Why is it taking off all the cellophane, security tape and general assorted sticky stuff can take longer than watching the actual DVD you're trying to unwrap?

*tries to get said sticky stuff off my fingers*

It's an attempt to convince you that they spend so much on wrapping and packaging that there's a reason that a media storage style that's cheap to produce is so expensive...

OR!

There's some lovely opium in the sticky stuff, making you an addict to buying new DVDs, especially 100 dollar boxsets, which have even MORE sticky stuff. Mm.
