There's always next year

This weekend is Akon up in Dallas... and I'm not going. I've gone every year for the past 5, but burnout really soured it this time around. And I know if I went it's probably be just as dull as last year (hell, the only things that really rocked for me last year were the D&D figure painting and the stand-up comedy I saw... neither unique to Anime in any way).

But...

Hearing about it, reading about it... running into old Anime-type friends at the Japanese store that I haven't seen in years, watching them stock up for the convention... I'm starting to jones for a fix.

Maybe I can get by with a shot of Utena after work.
