Houston, we have a problem.
Aug. 13th, 2007 08:49 pmLately things have been all about the up and down.
Last Thursday we got to watch the California Guitar Trio play at the Mucky Duck. There guys are amazing, just three guitars but they played everything from the classics to Pink Floyd's Echos... Then they did Circling, which sounds more porny than it is. They played a sonata, but each guy played every third note. It sounded seamless, but if you watched closely you could see how closely they had to watch the guy before them so they knew when to play. Their sound guy recorded the show as they went, so on our way out we were able to buy a cd of what we'd just heard.
Saturday Deb and I hit the mall to see Stardust. I needed new sneakers and ended up snagging a new Tshirt too.
Sunday the boy came over. Today's he's 16, so I let him get whatever he wanted from Nan's Comics. He chose a fully articulated Cyberman and the big V for Vendetta compilation. He says he has a list of things he wants to do before he dies... namely, become immortal. ^_~
And then today happened. Like something smelly you scrape off your shoe. This is my first full week alone in my new position at work. This is ALSO the week my supervisor decided to plan her Mexico cruise. AND this is the week all the computers need their fonts redone, leaving lots and lots of snags I have to fix! (As a PC person, I am full of hate.) AND the woman logging my paperwork was out most of last week so I got slammed with a week's worth of crap all at once today. ...and did I mention one guy's computer crashed, but our IT guy's out of town till Wednesday? And to think, I'm going back tomorrow... almost willingly.
The weekend can't get here fast enough.
Oh, and if you have a myspace thingy, let me know and I'll try to find you over there.
