one step forward, three steps back

Ran out before work to pick up my ATM card, but on the way there the Check Engine light came on, and stayed on.... Headed for the car place where I get my oil changed, but they said they couldn't look at it. Then I headed for another car place I've used, and they poked around under the hood, and... god. It needs a new mass air flow sensor and idle air control valve. On top of that, I'm supposed to drop it off by 8am tomorrow. (As I tend to sleep from 6 to 2, that's a big deal.)

*deep breath* It could be worse... just gotta remember, it could always be worse.
