Ever notice?

You go somewhere to write, be it a Coffee Shop, all night dinner, whatever, and get all situated with your caffeine and notepad... and suddenly the service gets a whole lot better? When it's just me, I might have to wait ages between soda refills, but man if that notepad and pen's going at it, suddenly that glass never gets more than half empty. The manager does a 'casual sweep' by my table to see if everything's all right. All I have to do is look up, and the waiter's there to see what I need!

Sure, it would probably stop in a heartbeat, if they knew I was writing smut and not restaurant reviews... but they don't have to know that. ^_~
