Just got back from my yearly eye exam... Most of it was no big deal, with the what looks better, 1 or 2, read off the last line thing, but... I've always opted out of getting the air-puft eye density test thing done. There's just something about trying to sit there with your forehead pressed against a bar of plastic, waiting for the machine to spit at you and trying not to blink that just freaks me the hell out. So today they tell me there's an alternative test that'll tell 'em the same results, just to spitting machine, and I'm all like Yay! ...what they didn't tell me is that the test involved numbing my eyeballs (which stung, btw!) and then poking 'em with a little blue stick! Gee, what's better, a puft of air or getting your eye poked with a stick? Needless to say, it took about as long for them to get me still enough for the one test as it would have for the other... *headdesk* Yeah, that was fun...

In other news I'd had a really good weekend... Didn't get around to half the things I'd planned on, but the relaxing bits in between made up for it. (Nothing like watching things blow up on TV while eating quality pizza to unwind...)

Man, I hope this week goes by fast... Three day weekend coming up, 'cause of the 4th of July, and I just know work's gonna drag.

Eeee, I hate that eye test too. I always blink. =/ What's taking that Star Trek body scanner thing so long to invent?

Tell me about it! Dude, if I was cool with things rubbing against my eye I'd wear bleeding contacts... As it is, I've had eye strain and a low grade headache ever since :( (Here's hoping a dark, quiet room when I get home does the trick.)

And speaking of Star Trek, I just finished Wil Wheaton's book "Just a Geek" last night. Now, I pretty much started it the same day, which should tell you what I think about it. ^_~

The worst is dialation. I SO hate that! Instant migraine. -_-;

Ooh, sounds like a good read there! *adds it to the must-read list* ^_^

oh, I know this is so not adultly responsible, but ever since I became a consenting adult, I have signed waivers to avoid taking that test. I hated it as a child, and I hate it now. only now that I'm an adult, I can stamp my foot like a petulant child and refuse to take it. XD

*nod* We're grown up enough to just say no. ^_~ And though I probably couldn't prove it, I'd swear their poke-the-eye test is what gave me a migrane last night. By the time I made it home, all I could do was lay in bed and hope the room would stop spinning before I lost my lunch.
