A couple years ago I'd looked into getting Renters Insurance, but as I lived on the edge of no-mans-land no one would insure jack. I've been in a better(ish) neighborhood for a good year now, and it occurred to me today that I could probably get covered now... but hell if I know how much I'd need. 10K? 20, 30? I mean, if I did get robbed, they'd probably go for the computer, TV, DVD player and VCR, right? I can't see anyone hauling off my Ikea crap... maybe some movies, though....

Anyone out there have any suggestions?

LOL! Thanks, and I mean that...

I can just see it now... "Hey, why are you limping?"

"Got some new earrings for Christmas, the callus hasn't built up yet."

"....oh."

There's a pretty good worksheet at capitalone.com. And listen -- insure yourself ASAP! My apartment got robbed last year -- they carted off my laptop, DVDs,and some other electronics, which came up to more than $5000 -- if you add jewlery or a TV set or something to that, it could easily get to $10K. (If you're self-employed you can deduct that sort of thing, luckily.)

Thanks for the advice... I went and signed up for the $10K (which, by Murphy's Law, means I should never ever get robbed here, right? ^_~) It does make me breath a little easier, that's for sure.

And now... um... I should probably do the same, huh. ^_^

Um, or something like that... *puts away the caffeine*
