What vacation?

Whenever anyone talks about vacations, they get this far away look in their eye, envisioning slow, easy living where you can lay out by the pool and your every whim is handed to you by your own, personal cabana boy. (Or is that just me?) So why is it the reality of "vacation" is so vastly different from the way it ought to be? Where's my cabana boy? Hell, where's my pool??? Instead I'm so busy running around cleaning I could win a gold friggin' medal! It just ain't fair I tell ya... just ain't fair.

when I talk about my most recent vacation, I also get a look in my eye, but methinks it's more of a murderous glint than a misty faraway look.

I cleaned because it was there... and it was icky.

Perhaps the murderous glint might be replaced with a misty one if you concentrated on what could be, instead of what was? That's what I try to do, anyway. ^_~
