Update on the run

Only have a sec to post something but I wanted to say, having finally gone to see Serenity over the weekend (hell, I saw it twice!) that...


That movie is love. It felt so true to the original it could'a had commercial breaks! And yes there were parts just plain painful to watch, (even knowing they were coming 'cause I live for spoilers) but it was a part of the whole, and I love every damn part of that universe. There are no happy endings, only moments snatched when you can... the good guys are dirty, the bad guys are fascinating (and scary as hell!) and as much as I'd love to see a TV continuation, I honestly don't know how they'd pull it off. Not after what they pulled in the movie.

And yes, I still wanna see it again.

Twice in one day? Wow, that's more dedicated than me!

A bunch of my friends agreed to see it the Sunday after it came out, but me and another girl snuck off to see it the same Friday. Then we tried to act surprised on Sunday...the lengths we fanatics go to...

I'm going to see it again this weekend (#3), after which I'll be posted the lengthy-if-not-heated argument another friend and I are having over it.

Shame on you and your spoilers. ^_^ ^_^

Oh no, not twice in a row! Saw it Sat morning and then Sun night... Now I'm not saying the movie's perfect for a movie, but for a slice of fannish lurv it so works. ^_~ Now I can't wait to read what your argument's about!

Funny thing is, I think it's better as a movie than as a slice of fannish lurve. (This does not mitigate that fact that I love it helplessly and beyond all reason ^_^)

On the other hand, I'm going to get hate mail when I write about "Mirrormask." *sigh*
