I think it's time for new icons

There's been a ton of things I've wanted to post about, but it seems as soon as I sit down to actually post it's all slipped my mind!

T&K are over for rehearsal, so while CZ's doing that I'll just be over here with my earplugs in. (Not that they're bad, mind... just really, really loud.) So far it's been a relaxing weekend, got a lot of reading done (I've caught up on The Price of Magic... need more HP recs!) and today I'm attempting to bake a ham. Now I've never baked a ham like this before, so we might end up with pizza tonight, but I figure it's worth a try? Found a recipe on-line for a beer and brown sugar glaze that sounds wonderful, so wish me luck.

Mmmm, good! After talking with my Grandma and reading a few different recipes, I ended up baking it on low for a few hours wrapped in tinfoil with a cup of beer in the bottom of the pan to keep it moist. Then I uncovered it, poured the glaze over top, and turned the oven higher for the last 45 minutes. Moist, a touch on the sweet side without an overpowering aftertaste (which is my biggest complaint about most pineapple'd hams.) Served it up with baked beans, grilled corn on the cob and flaky biscuits... Now that's good eats!

*grin* When you're able again, you should come by for dinner. We fat people know how to whip up dinner right. ^_~
