Seems Generation:Landslide (ie, that project CZ's had over practicing for almost a year now) has a gig. And not only a gig, but a gig at 8pm Thursday night at Numbers. This is actually a big deal for a number(heh) of reasons... First, Numbers is one of the few big name clubs in Houston that's really managed to last. I mean, big names play there (Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, Beastie Boys,) not so much your typical no-name garage band. Second, this is going to pretty much be the guys first live gig. (Getting up for three songs at an open mic once doesn't count.)

Needless to say, the next couple of days will be nothing but rehearsal... and having the right people know your name when their previously booked band cancels can be a good thing.

Dude, how long is their gig gonna last? Will I have a chance to head over after work and hear them?

Depends on when you get off work, but I doubt it. Two other bands get the stage after them, so they'll only be playing an hour or so, probably from 8-9. There might be a recording of the show, though, I'm not sure.

Thanks. This is really a trial by fire for the guys, but in the end I think it'll be good for 'em (either by boosting their egos or getting a reality check.) Either way, I'll post how it went.

Provided the lead singer doesn't get stage fright and forget her words, and the lights don't go nuts and give CZ a grand maul, yeah, it might be awesome. ^_~ I think they'll do fine, but the nerves are starting to hit.
