Yay! Ouch... Yay!

zebralittle52ladydouji and I went to RenFest this weekend. It's been a good two or three years since I'd gone, and that was just too long, so out came the corset and ruffles and skirts. I still had my old boots in the back of the closet, though I hadn't worn 'em since probably the last time I went to the Fair, but figured they'd still work.
Man, was I wrong.
I was wincing before we even got to the gate! Five minutes later, the blisters were already starting to form. As crippled feet aren't high on my to-do list, we eyed a couple leatherworkers till we found a place we liked. Sure I spent way more than I wanted to, but my feet love me again, and I can even wear 'em to work, so my new black leather ankle boots are totally worth it. ^_^*V*
'Course, there were lots of other stuff I wanted to buy, but I was good. ...well, good enough.
At least it only happens once a year!
