Made it to another one

Can't exactly say we've survived it yet, but you can't go wrong starting Christmas with a Makers Mark soaked fruitcake. Later on CZ and I will head to Confucius for our traditional Christmas Chinese food and probably come back home to watch Fearless. (How's that for holiday spirit?)

Since we don't do traditional food today, I cooked yesterday instead. Crock pot Pot Roast so tender you could eat it with a spoon, with piles of veggies and rice to soak up all the gravy. Mmm, gravy.

...and I lost my train of thought.

The boy liked the DVDs I got him (Batman box set) and in return he gave me Hello Kitty pez. I'm not kidding, there's four of 'em with clear plastic heads and it's like she's sticking her tongue out at you.

Anyway, what I'm really trying to say is, for all the other stuff that life dumps on your shoulders, today's the day to say Fuck It and appreciate what's important to you. Everyone can do that, despite the commercialism and... well, all the other ism's that today might also be.

So I toast you with another slice of fruitcake, thank you for the cards, and may today be good despite.
