Hey, totally off the subject of your post but who would you recommend in the area as a good tattoo artist? L is doing research because she is thinking about getting one for her birthday this year. We both just want to make sure that the one that is picked is good and safe. Let me know whenever. No rush.

I've been thinking about it, but I really can't think of any specific place to recommend. (I got my ink in Austin... Atomic Tattoo.) Best I can advise is tour a couple places till she finds one she's comfortable with, the hygiene of the place, the set-up and people. Do they have private booths, or is everyone in one giant room? Can you see pictures of previous clients, read testimonials? *shrug* Every place is different.

Thanks for the advise. I'm totally in the dark and so is L. Her birthday isn't till November so we have plenty of time and she has already told me that she could chicken out. I think the only way for her to go through with it is for me to get one with her. Who knows? I might do and then we might both chicken out. Still, thanks for the advise and wish us both luck.
