Last weekend was a blast (except some ass hit CZ's car. He's alright, but since the cops don't come out for fender benders it's a case of He said, He said and it's all in the insurance companies hands)

Saturday I hit the store and picked up everything I'd need to make sushi. Nori, sticky rice, and more veggies and imitation crab than you could shake a stick at. Turns out I made WAY to much, but leftovers never went so fast. ^_~

In a kind-of culinary connection, CZ got a hold of the Jesus Christ Superstar Japanese cast album, with Takeshi Kaga singing lead. That's right, Chairman Kaga from Iron Chef is Jesus. They boys have been calling it Jesus Christ Sushi Star ever since.

And when that wasn't playing, the Rocky Horro Picture Show cast album was. In Norwegian.

Yeah.

Have you got a good recipe/method for getting the sticky rice down? I always have trouble with it.

What worked for me was rinsing the rice before cooking (turned out still sticky, but not The Blob sticky like the batch without rinsing) and keeping a bowl of water next to me to dunk my hands into every time the rice started sticking. If you keep your hands wet, it's not so bad.

Woo! Ahh.. yeah first I thought you didn't remember me, and then I was like hmmm, hotmail account, maybe she didn't get it. Haha, I'm terrible at the journal thing, so it's probably a good thing for me to keep one. I'm going to try posting a bit more, right now it's a barren shell.

Of course I remember you! Hell, just a few months ago I was cleaning out dead links and came across yours, got to wondering what you'd been up to.

Where are you living now? What've you... well, I guess all this would be better posted on your journal. ^_~
